In April Britt stays one week in India and visits an orphanage near Nellore. There she also meet old woman and widows, who can't care for themselves anymore. These old woman are so slim..

They have poor or no lodging. Houses without roof. They sleep on the naked floor, just have 2-3 old tattered saris.. If there is no neighbor looking after them a bit, they just die of hunger and thirst.

Water can just be bought when the water carrier comes.. and what can an old woman carry on, who can't stay on her own legs? Just having the amount of 1000 INR per month from the governement (equals 14,- €)

But first we need a well, as it is actually very dry in India.

Please help these widows and support us with digging a well.

During the visit in April in India Britt got aware about the drought. Wells run dry and the drinking water needs to be delivered. That's expensive.

Next to the orphanage is a small piece of land, and here we would like to dig the well. The well builder came and checked the land and assures us, here will be water.

We do not want just to drill a borehole, but want to dig a well traditionally. In case the energy is disappearing we can still pull the water with a bucket, same way as this woman from a neighbor village is doing.

The woman do often just have 2-3 saries and wear them every day. When they cook, clean or sleep in the night. Other clothing they do not have.

Therefore this is a big pleasure for these woman.
